Vila Gale Ampalius, Vilamoura

Staying at this hotel was a lovely experience. The room was fairly spacious with a good location at the marina, which was a junior suite. However, the rooms are adequate but require serious modernization and lack basic items such as a kettle or iron. The service was great and helpful, with the staff always going the extra mile, even providing a little appetizer in addition to the meal. The location was ideal for exploring on foot, being close to the marina and the beach. The dining experience was enjoyable, offering a good variety of options.

I stayed in a duplex apartment with two bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a kitchenette, and living room. The room was comfortable and spacious, but it needed repairs; the floor was not properly fitted, and the fridge didn't work. The service provided by the dining room housekeepers and bar staff was excellent, helpful, friendly, and they promptly dealt with all our requests. The location was average; although it had a big balcony overlooking the sea, it could have been more relaxing. The dining experience was good with a nice grill for freshly cooked food, but some items were not to our liking and were served cold. The facilities were decent. Overall, the stay had its positives and negatives, which influenced my experience.

When I first arrived, the room wasn't clean, but the view from the balcony was fantastic. Once cleaned, the room was bright, modern, and had a nice upstairs area. The hotel offers a great view from the balcony, but cleanliness could have been better upon arrival.
